Creatures

Nymbol's Troupe

Introduction

It all started one night when a Furry Folkmantis named "Batty" stepped onto the bed and read "Spider and the Fly" for the 632nd time. Much laughter, hijinks and many snarky comments ensued. That was the moment a door opened into a world from which "Creatures" and magic continue to pour in.

Nymbol's Secret Garden

After a year of collecting puppets to go in the night time reading cast of characters A little creature named Nymbol was born at our studio. He instantly became part of our family and our lives changed forever.  Within moments of introducing him to Isadora he was invited to go on his first adventure to a BurgerVille in Oregon that was a couple miles away. In that first outing, we discovered that kids loved Nymbol, but adults had a really hard time seeing him. There was magic captured here we did not yet understand.  A short couple weeks later Nymbol answered the door to give out candy for Halloween. I will treasure that little memory forever. In less than a year he had upended our lives and more creatures came to live with us.  For the next few years our troupe of magical creatures and humans grew, we created our first live on stage show and took 18 performers to FaerieWorlds. A few years later Gryph came to live with us and he was our first "Walk Around" creature. After a move to a new state ( for Bill's work) we were just starting to perform again when the world turned upside down. The creatures are still getting out occasionally but have been quietly biding their time. Their collective voices and growls are getting loud again as they yearn for more adventures and are eager to make new friends. They bring some much needed magic and laughter into the world at this time.
